For those who know me well, y'all know that I am my best self when I have 5-10 things going on at once. If I am not multitasking, I'm probably bored! Time to catch you up on the latest!
Mess aside (please ignore my messy room!!), I have been working on a small batch of garments. I got four bolts of fabric from a sample sale a while back and have finally put it to good use! My old coworker and I are working on a collection of handmade goods to sell at local art fairs and markets in town. I am excited to start sewing again and this is my first finished garment for Gemma Design Boutique, coming soon to local Dallas venues!
Not only is the fabric gorgeously woven and light weight, but I have french seamed the entire garment! I think its time for me to get a chiffon hem presser foot for this line of clothing! That hem drove me crazy sewing it, and is driving me even more crazy wearing it!
Here is an update on my assembly line paintings. I have finished about 1/4 of them. So far so good! I want to experiment with different frames and boarders to really make some elements pop. Id also like to think about additional mediums to go on top of a couple as yet again another layer. Matte medium most likey, but it could be cool to play around with some different opacities of paste and possibly gloss medium to really shake things up!
Lastly, I am working on some new development. If you don't already know what these are, I will be dropping hints here and there. This is the start to something new and fresh. Something I have only thought of more recently to add to my craft. This is a project I hope to expand upon over years and grow better as I go along. This is something I have not been trained to do, so it will be a new experience and challenging to say the least. Lets hope this upcoming adventure will take me to a new level of creativity! Until next week, happy making!!
